Directions

To get to the School of Public Health Building from
Route 1/Baltimore Ave

  • Once you turn onto Campus Drive from Rt. 1, stay in the left lane and follow Campus Drive to the “M” circle.
  • Take the first exit from the circle onto Regents Drive.
  • At the third stop sign, turn left onto Farm Drive.
  • Make an immediate right turn onto Valley Drive. The building will be just ahead on your right beyond the bend in the road.

Visitor Parking

  • Parking is free in Lots 9b and UU.
  • If you’re coming from Greenbelt Road/193, you can make a left on Paint Branch Drive towards the Xfinity Center and then a right on Regents Drive, which will lead you to the free parking lots.
  • If you are coming from Route 1 through our main entrance, you are going to make your first immediate right on Paint Branch Drive towards the Xfinity Center. Then, you will make a left on Regents Drive towards the free lots.
  • From there, walk over a short bridge and the cross walk then head right towards the ground level door of the School of Public Health. Enter the building, and go up one flight of stairs to see the Family Science office at the top of the stairs on the right!
  • You also have the option of plugging in “Terrapin Trail” (Lot 6) into your GPS and it will take you directly there.

Metrorail

  • Take the Red Line train toward Glenmont; transfer at the Fort Totten station to the Green Line train toward Greenbelt; get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
  • Or take the Green Line train toward Greenbelt; get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
  • The university’s Shuttle-UM buses pick up university-bound passengers on the EAST side of the Metrorail station. Shuttle-UM service between the College Park Station (Green line) and the center of campus is very frequent – every 8 minutes peak hours most weekdays – is offered year-round, and is open to everyone – no ID required.
  • Take the shuttle to the Regents Drive stop. Then, it is a short walk up Regents Drive past the campus farm to Valley Drive, where the School of Public Health is located.

Directions

From Montgomery County, Maryland

  • Follow the Beltway south to exit 17A (Upper Marlboro).
  • You will exit onto Landover Road (Route 202 east).
  • Follow Route 202 under Route 214 overpass.
  • The college is about a half-mile south of the overpass, on the right side of Route 202.
  • Cross the intersection of Campus Way and take the first right into the college.

From Virginia or Washington, DC

  • Follow the Beltway north, taking exit 15A (Upper Marlboro).
  • Take the PGCC exit onto Route 202 south (Landover Road).
  • The college is on the right after the traffic signal at Campus Way.
  • If traveling from the District, you can also follow East Capitol Street, which becomes Central Avenue. Take PGCC exit onto Route 202 south.
  • Cross the intersection of Campus Way and take the first right into the college.

From Route 301

  • Take Central Avenue (Route 214 west).
  • Make a left at Campus Way, follow about one-quarter mile to Route 202.
  • Make a left onto Route 202; the college is on your immediate right.
  • Take the first right from Route 202 into the college.

By Car

  • Take I-495 West to Exit 31 or East to Exit 31B, Georgia Avenue South (Route 97).
  • Continue south on Georgia Avenue past the Colesville Road (Route 29) intersection.
  • Following the signs for Montgomery College, turn left (East) on Sligo Avenue.
  • Follow Sligo Avenue to Fenton Street; turn right.
  • Continue (southbound) on Fenton Street through the traffic light at Philadelphia Avenue (Route 410).

By Metro

  • Follow the Beltway north, taking exit 15A (Upper Marlboro).
